VIA AMÉRICA ....... SAN CRISTOVO DE CEA a SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA
San Cristovo de Cea. Village with all the services and the best bread in the world that preserves its ways of doing since the thirteenth century (according to the oldest of the place). His Bread and the Monastery of Oseira are the most precious jewels of the Concello de San Cristovo de Cea, but not the only ones. From here we start the road on the Via de America.
If you wish and at no additional cost, we will welcome you the first day, in the sports center of Cea, where you can leave your backpacks, take a shower and spend the night. At 10:30 p.m. A meeting will be held at the sports center of Cea for the presentations of the team that formed the Route of America and a summary of the project and activities to be carried out during the five days.

STAGE CEA – DOZÓN
We started in the morning, after an energetic breakfast. Once immersed in the Road and after 9 km we will arrive at Santa María la Real de Oseira. Monastery of Cistercian origin. We will follow a beautiful path and the descent will bring us to A Gouxa following the road to the municipality of Castro Dozón. Dozón as capital of the concello (located in the Galician region of O Deza) walkers have the necessary services. The area has medium mountain landscapes of great scenic interest as well as recreational areas and monuments with great cultural value. The main monument to visit in the heart of Castro de Dozón is the Romanesque church of San Salvador Accommodation: Sport centre de Cea Stage difficulty: low. Distance traveled: 19,20 Kms.
STAGE CASTRO DOZÓN MOURISCADE
The next day begins by secondary roads and old roads that run from Catro Dozón to Mouriscade (Lalin-Pontevedra). A good awakening will quickly put us in harmony with the path. We will walk through rural landscapes that communicate with small villages, streams, native forests, granaries, cruceiros and small Romanesque chapels. Lalín is the largest municipality of Pontevedra and the fourth of Galicia. Accommodation: Sports centre de Mouriscade Difficulty stage: low Distance traveled: 12,3 Km.
STAGE MOURISCADE – BANDEIRA
In this third stage, once on the road after leaving Bandeira, we cross the Deza region, which takes its name from the main river that irrigates these lands, with a thousand tributaries. We will cross this river halfway through a beautiful medieval bridge. Bath for the brave. We will see in the horizon the Sacred Peak that, in its skirts, we will sleep the last night. Legend has it that from this peak were seen the stars that indicated the place where the corpse of the Apostle Santiago was to be buried. STAGE BANDEIRA – LESTEDO
From Bandeira (Silleda) to Lestedo (Boqueixón-A Coruña), this stage divided into two distinct sectors: the first part the road descends towards the Ulla river. We will stop at the Gundian chapel. «It is known that in San Xoán da Cova, on the banks of the Ulla, there existed a monastery of the 9th century dedicated to San Juan Bautista, the monks of this monastery constructed a chapel in the opposite shore dedicated to the Virxe of Gundian to which it was acceded By means of a wooden bridge that crossed the Ulla in the place that today occupies the Gundian Bridge «. We will continue the second sector that ascends to the skirts of the Sacred Peak. Very close to Santiago stands one of the most mythical and well-known mountains of Galicia: the Sacred Peak, dominant in the Ulla river valley and is an inexhaustible source of legends and folktales. This mountain, venerated by the neighbors, played a primordial role in the myth of the Traslatio of the Apostle Santiago, happening to be wanted by the Christianity. We continue our way crossing the Comarca del Ulla, fertile lands and vineyards that produce a singular homemade wine and good brandy. We will rest in Lestedo under the supervision of Sacred Peak. STAGE LESTEDO – SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA
Lestedo – Santiago de Compostela: it’s the final stage, it separates us a distance of only 13 kilometers. An exciting awakening, the feeling that has brought us here, is about to be achieved. At the entrance to Compostela, the Sar river comes out to greet us. We will go up Castrón Douro street, we will cross the Puerta de Mazarelos (only door that remains of the medieval walls) that gives us access to reach the end of our adventure, Santiago de Compostela. Stage difficulty: low. Distance traveled: 13 Km. -The approximate time of arrival of the five continents to the Praza or Obradoiro in Santiago de Compostela, will be about 13.00. Reencounter of all the groups that have walked along the Roads of America, Africa, Oceania-Australia and Asia. The entrance is made through five different places in the Plaza, symbolically forming the five-petalled rose in the center of the Plaza. -Visit to the Cathedral. -Programmed food for all walkers. This meal will be based on typical products of the place.
